How it works
Unroll it. That’s the setup. Lay it on the floor or the couch, tip out the 24 markers, and everyone takes a corner — Santa for the little one, the baubles for whoever likes detail, and the phones stay in the kitchen. There’s 150 × 125 cm of pattern, so it takes days, not an afternoon.
When the markers go back in the case, it’s a soft velvet throw for the couch.
Washing it
It goes straight in the washing machine — cold water, gentle cycle, no bleach, tumble dry low or hang it in the shade. The colours stay put, so what they colour is what you keep.
One more thing: colour it on the floor or with the box underneath the first time — like any marker, fresh ink is wet until it dries.
60-Day Quality Guarantee
Sixty days of cover on the blanket and the markers. If it arrives faulty, isn’t what we described, or the markers are dry, we replace it or refund it — your choice.
Buying it as a gift? Same cover: the sixty days start the day it arrives, not the day you order.
Can it really go in the washing machine?
Colour it. Wash it. Keep it.
Yes — it goes in the washing machine.
Cold water, gentle cycle, tumble low or hang it in the shade, and the colours stay exactly where they put them. No bleach, no ironing, no special anything. It’s a blanket. Wash it like one.
The whole family. One blanket. No screens.
It’s 150 × 125 cm, so four or five fit around it at once — the six-year-old on Santa, the cousin on the gingerbread man, Nan on the baubles with the green. Nobody has to run it, nobody has to share a page, and the only thing anyone says for two hours is “pass the red”.
Then it’s the blanket.
The colouring is the first weekend. After that it’s a soft velvet throw on the couch for the rest of the summer — the one someone falls asleep under on Boxing Day, the one that goes in the bag to Nan’s. One present, two jobs.

They’ll just go back to the iPad after lunch.
The quiet two hours of Christmas afternoon.
Lunch is done, the adults are at the table, and the kids have started circling the phones. The Scribble Blanket goes on the lounge-room floor instead: a real velvet blanket, a Christmas scene to colour, 24 markers in the box, and room for all of them at once. When they’re done it goes in the wash, then on the couch.

Everyone on the floor. Nothing on a screen.

Boxing Day. Nothing on. Everyone on the blanket.
I still have questions.
Questions parents ask
Can I wash it?
Yes — it’s made for it. It goes straight in the washing machine: cold water, gentle cycle, no bleach, tumble dry low or hang it in the shade. Don’t iron it; otherwise treat it like any blanket.
Do the colours come out, or stay?
They stay. The markers are permanent on fabric once dry, so what they colour is what you keep, wash after wash.
Will the markers bleed through onto the couch or the rug?
Like any marker, fresh ink is wet until it dries — so the first time, colour it on the floor or with the box or a towel underneath rather than on Mum’s good couch. Once it’s dry, it’s a blanket.
Will it actually get them off the screens?
It gives them something better to do, which is the only thing that ever works: 150 × 125 cm of pattern, a marker each, and a corner for the six-year-old, the cousin and Nan at the same time. Nobody has to ban anything — the gingerbread man just needs finishing.
Are the markers included?
Yes — 24 colours in a clear carry case, in the box. The Duo, Trio and Family Set come with a 24-marker case per blanket, so every household gets its own set.
How big is it?
150 cm × 125 cm — about the size of a cot quilt, big enough for four or five people to colour at once and to throw over two of you on the couch afterwards.
What ages is it for?
Everyone who can hold a marker. Three- and four-year-olds colour the big shapes next to a grown-up; five to twelve own a section each; teenagers and adults do the detailed baubles. Not suitable for children under 3: marker caps are small parts.
Will it actually keep them busy?
There’s 150 × 125 cm of pattern — Santa, gingerbread men, baubles, candy canes, stockings, stars. Most families take days to finish it, because they only colour a bit each evening. Then it’s a blanket.
Is it a real blanket or a craft sheet?
A real one — soft velvet with a black bound edge, the kind you’d leave on the couch. The colouring is the bonus.
Will it arrive before Christmas?
Delivery is free and tracked Australia-wide, and you’ll get a tracking link by email the day it ships. We’ll publish the Christmas order-by date on this page the moment Australia Post confirms it for 2026, so nobody gets caught out.
Can I send it straight to the grandkids?
Yes. Put their address in as the delivery address at checkout and it goes straight to them. The order confirmation and tracking come to your email, not theirs. Buying for more than one house? The Duo and the Family Set are one blanket per household.
What if there’s a problem with it?
Email us. If it arrives faulty, isn’t as described, or the markers are dry, we replace it or refund it within 60 days — gifts included. That’s our 60-Day Quality Guarantee, alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Do the markers work with The Scribble Bot?
They’re ordinary colouring markers, so yes for colouring in the robot’s drawings. The robot’s own pens are the ones that fit its holder.
